Who Do You Say That I Am?

Who do you say that I am?
I am the headline and
I am the heart-beating knowing in your gut,
and deeper.
Deeper still,
across time and space,
I am your blood and bones,
empty arms.
I see your heart broken,
feel your chill of shock,
your lips part in disbelief,
too soon.
Too soon.
I am the clock.
And I am eternity.
And I am the hole in the blackness of time.
